Join us for a discussion of the recently published Royal Society Science for Society report, focusing on it’s chapter on Mass media and misinformation.
Published 40 years after the landmark Bodmer Report, the chapter aimed to find out what has changed in the way science is communicated to the public, and what are the challenges for ensuring the public get access to accurate scientific information.
The event will bring together the chapter chair, and members of the steering group who contributed to the report, to discuss what they found out when researching the chapter, their recommendations, and the questions this raises for the wider Sci Comm community.
Expect a lively and informal discussion, followed by a Q&A session, combining insights from the report with perspectives and experiences from those working at the intersection of science, media and society.
