Stempra’s flagship annual one-day event, the Press Officer Training Day, provides training advice, tips, discussions, and the opportunity to share best practice in science communication.

It is also an event to network with press officers and communications professionals, and to learn through panel sessions organised by the Stempra committee.

The Press Officer Training Day is open to any Stempra member, but is aimed at those who are early on in their career. There will be something for you, whether you work in the university sector, or for a learned society, academic journal, research council, agency, research charity, industry or museum.

Details for the 2026 Press Officer Training Day will be confirmed at the start of the year.
