Press Offices during the Pandemic
24 September 2020
“I hope this email finds you well in these strange times,”
As began almost every email sent in the past six months. But how well did press offices do in these strange times? Science and health has been the top of the news agenda throughout the Covid-19 pandemic in a way that has never been seen before. To meet this endless thirst for expert commentary, guidance and new research results, some press offices have had to change how they work.
Join us as we get different perspectives from four different press offices – a university, a journal, an NHS trust and a charity – on how they responded to a near constant news cycle. What worked well for them? What could have been done differently? What lessons can be applied to any second wave?
