Press Officer Training Day – COMPETITION!

26th February 2016

As part of our Press Officer Training Day (which is fast approaching!!!) we’re launching a brand new session to the mix: 99 problems but the pitch ain’t one. It’s all very exciting….

So, what is this session all about? I hear you ask…. Well – this is YOUR chance to stand in front of our esteemed panel of journalists and pitch your best story idea to them.

We’ll pick two finalists out of the hat on the day, and they will get the opportunity to stand up in front of the journalists to deliver their pitch. The session is intended to be fun and light hearted but also informative, with the constructive criticism of the journalist providing an insight into what makes for a successful pitch.

The winning pitch will be decided by the journalists and will win an exclusive (but top secret) prize!!

How to apply
Email your short pitches (no more than 300 words, but the shorter the better) to emma@stempra.org.uk by 6th March
When you sign in on the day – let the registration team know you’ve entered the competition
We’ll then pick two entries out of the hat after the Journalist training session – so be ready and prepared for the ultimate Pitch Off!
If you have any questions about the competition, please drop me an email.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the day!

p.s. if you haven’t signed up for our Press Officer Training Day – do it now!!
