Although there is no fee to attend the Press Officer Training Day, Stempra is aware that the costs of travelling to the event and any necessary overnight accommodation may prevent certain individuals from attending.
If you are a student, or are unemployed & seeking employment in the sector, or working for a smaller institution or charity with no training budget to cover your costs, you may apply for a bursary of up to £200 to enable you to attend.
The funds will cover travel and any necessary accommodation only, up to a limit of £200. Bursaries are only available to those based in the UK. If you receive a bursary it will be a requirement that you join Stempra, however the membership fee will be covered by Stempra, providing you with membership for one calendar year.
There are three bursaries available in 2016 and depending on demand Stempra hopes to increase this number for future years.
To apply for a bursary please complete the application form by the closing date of Wednesday 10th February 2016.
You will be informed of whether or not you will receive financial support through a Stempra bursary by the end of Friday 12th February.
The bursaries will be awarded to those that the Stempra committee feel have most to gain from attending the event and who are least able to support their own attendance. The committee’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Those in receipt of a bursary will need to submit an expenses claim to Stempra, with receipts, in order to receive reimbursement of costs up to a limit of £200.
For any queries on the bursaries please contact Stempra Treasurer Sallie Robins email@example.com
